How to play

You get a word and a few red words you can't say. Explain the word to an AI. Then a coach shows you how to explain it better.

One game

1. Pick a topic

   Choose one in Explore, play the daily challenge, or make an AI topic from a word list.

2. Explain the word

   A game has 3 words. Each word has several red words. Type a clue. If you type a red word, it is struck through and you can't send the clue until you remove it.

3. Get guessed

   The AI guesses from your clue. If it is wrong, add another detail. When it guesses right, you move to the next word. You can skip a word.

4. Get coached

   After the third word, the coach reviews your clues, marks what worked and suggests better ones.

How the coach scores you

Each word gets a score out of 100, in three parts. Speed counts a little: 15% of the word score.

Free and Plus

On Free you get 1 coach review a day. For every other word you still see your score and one suggested clue. Plus gives you a coach review on every game. See Plus.

Daily challenge

One topic a day. Everyone gets the same 3 words. A new topic starts at midnight UTC. Share your result with friends.

Streaks

Play at least one game a day to keep your streak. Your home page shows your streak, your best streak and your daily goal.

My words

Every word you describe goes into Words, with your best clue. Words are marked Weak, Learning or Strong, and weak words come first. On Free you can flip through all your cards. Plus picks the words that are due and schedules the next review.

Play with friends

In a room, the AI describes a word and you race your friends to guess it. Share the 5-character room code or link. Joining is always free.

The earlier you guess, the more points you get. Wrong guesses show to everyone. Right guesses stay hidden until the round ends. Free rooms hold up to 8 players. Plus rooms hold up to 30.

Tips for better clues

• Say who uses it, where you find it, and what it does.
• Compare it to something you already know.
• Don't give up on a hard word. Add one new detail at a time.
